For as long as history has been recorded there's always been problems in the word... anyone who took a history course could tell you that... especially American History, but thats a different story for a different time. Before I go too far off track what I'm trying to say is that, this world has always been a sketchy place to live in. YES, there has been quite a few things that has happened within the recent years that could imply that the world could be soon ending but lets go back about 96 yrs or so..... remember that thing called WWI? Yea.... countries all over the world were in battle and people were dying left and right..... fast forward about 20 years or so to the Great Depression and WWII.... sound familiar? I could imagine that there were some people back then with the idea in their mind that the world would be ending soon but look at what they were dealing with!!! I'm gona round my numbers up and say that WWI was about 100 years ago.... okay. All the people who prophesied that idea back then were wrong and probably close to death if not already dead.
Here we are in 2010.... telling everyone that the world is going to end in 2 years...now, I'm a Christian and I do believe in God and Jesus Christ. Honestly, who are we to say when we think the world will or will not end?? If anything we're just JINXING it!! It is ultimately up to God to decide when he wants to end life on this planet we call earth. He created it, he can just as easily take it away. Realistically, it could end next week.
What I'm trying to get at is, YES the world is going through tough times right now: the economic depression, not only in this country but spreading to far corners to the world (if it wasn't already there); the terroristic demonstrations that we've seen in recent years; and the natural disasters happening left and right, but NO ONE knows when the world is going to end.... NO ONE.
I'm tired of hearing of these false prophesies.... call me stubborn but I'll believe it when I see it.
